Melissa Brown
Melissa Brown has been a full time Certified Massage Therapist, Licensed Esthetician and makeup artist since 2000. Melissa was voted Best Massage Therapist in Folsom in 2008 and 2009. Melissa was voted the 2010 winner of best massage and skin care under Press Reader’s Choice 2009 Best Massage, 2010 Best Massage and Best Day Spa. She has been a lead educator for Fair Oaks Massage Institute and hosted a variety of educational classes. In 2008 she opened Alchemy Day Spa and Boutique and has since been awarded Best of the Best by Spa Industry.
Melissa focuses her practice on treating her clients as a whole…mind, body, skin and home. All of her treatments and products are designed to generate healing and restore balance through body massage, skin care therapies and energy work. Her treatments are customized based on each clients unique needs and accented with elegant complimentary upgrades such as warm stones, aromatherapy and herbal steamed towels. Professionally trained by the “Wax Queen”, Melissa is a master waxer. She uses sensitive waxing products and techniques to make hair removal as pain-free and modest as possible.
To ensure all of Alchemy’s therapists and treatments are cutting edge and the best in the industry, Melissa coordinates and attends monthly educational classes and medical seminars from around the world. Melissa currently has over 2500 hours of training in holistic and medical modalities (the state minimum for massage is 125 and esthetics 600).

Julie Ann Hill
Julie Ann Hill is a full-service therapist. She specializes in therapeutic massage, myofacsial release, neuromuscular therapy, hot stone therapy and aromatherapy. Also specializing in therapy for the skin, she offers deep cleansing, hydrating and organic facials, as well as waxing. Julie Ann graduated from Healing Arts Academy and Hoss Lee Academy. She is also an Xtreme lash stylist, trained to give you lush, natural-looking eyelash extensions.
Julie Ann also specializes in South American Shamanism, which is cleansing of a different nature. Chakra tune-ups and clearing negative energy provide opportunities for limitless growth. She is also a Komyo Reiki Shihan, and can add energy healing to deepen the experience of your massage.
Tanya LaFave
Tanya LaFave, Certified Massage Therapist has been “healing the world one body at a time since 2001″. A graduate of California Healing Arts Institute, Tanya is a healer specializing in myofascial release through sports massage with stretching, deep tissue and therapeutic body work.
Tanya has worked along with physical therapists in providing preventative and rehabilitation bodywork for their patients and with professional athletes to help ensure physical fitness for pre and post sporting events. Her focus is on reading the imbalances present in the body and applying a series of productive, yet natural treatments for the body to help rejuvenate and heal itself. Her ability to combine all types of massage, along with her intuitive touch and caring personality offers a positive massage experience for anyone.
